Fábio was born in 1996, in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. He began classical guitar lessons at the age of 11 at Academia de Música de Viana do Castelo with Francisco Gomes, where he obtained his Curso Secundário de Música, in 2014, with a final mark of 19/20 in guitar.
In September 2014, Fábio began his undergraduate studies Bmus (Hons) Classical Guitar at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Robert Brightmore, David Miller and Graham Devine. He is generously supported in his studies by the Henry Wood Accommodation Trust and by the Charity of Mary Barnes. Fábio has participated in masterclasses with David Russel, Fabio Zanon, Leo Brouwer, Ignacio Rodes, Máximo D. Pujol, Antigoni Goni, Margarita Escarpa, Graham Devine, Eduardo Martín, Julian Byzantine, Douglas Rodgers, Michel Sadanowsky, and Artur Caldeira.
Besides his success in several national and international competitions, Fábio has performed many solo, ensemble and choir concerts all around Portugal and England. As a soloist, he has performed on numerous stages in Viana do Castelo, London and Norwich. Fábio is regularly invited to play solo or with other musicians both for academic and professional activities, as well to give masterclasses and lectures to other young musicians.
Since 2012 Fábio has been teaching guitar both privately and in music schools in Portugal and England, teaching students from of ages from six to 50 years old.
