There are many benefits to starting music education early. Our Early years music programme is the best musical foundation you can give your child.
Our early years music programme is for children aged three to five years. At this age your child can absorb musical concepts unconsciously, laying excellent foundations for intuitive understanding and the ability to articulate complex musical ideas later on.
During the 45-minute sessions your child will be expertly introduced to all of the elements that make up music.
They will also explore the expressive qualities of music and build vital skills in cooperation, participation, contribution, leading, following and taking turns.
Research shows that musical activities contribute to emotional, cognitive and social development in children. The activities we use allow children to develop their musicianship skills before adding-in the difficult technical demands of the instrument.
Early years music classes happen:
- Saturday mornings at our Saturday Music Centre, North Finchley, London.
- Tuesday afternoons in our St Albans Early Years Centre, Hertfordshire.
For children under three years we also offer Toddler Music sessions on Saturday mornings at our Saturday Music Centre.
