The DaCapo Music Foundation is a registered charity, established in 1991. We were set up to extend the reach of an inclusive and child centred approach to making music.
In addition to our fee-paying Saturday Music Centre we work hard to provide high-quality music education to children and young people who are from disadvantaged backgrounds and to schools where music is valued but hard to deliver.
Our current charitable projects:
The DaCapo Award Scheme.
We’ve launched an exciting new initiative. Music on a Monday is a Monday evening music school based at Wren Academy. We are offering free places to young people over 11 years who are enthusiastic about music but would not otherwise be able to pay for the DaCapo programme. This is our new DaCapo Award Scheme.
Free toddler music for the local community.
We’re also starting free toddler drop-in sessions on Saturdays, to reach out to the local community and share music with little ones whose parents are otherwise unable to afford these activities.
We rely on grants and donations for these activities. To get these two projects off the ground, we need to raise enough funds. We hope that supporters of DaCapo will donate to the scheme so that more children can benefit from having music in their lives. We are so grateful for your support.
Can you help us to make music education possible for more children?
