The DaCapo primary school music programme is a progressive, engaging programme with a varied age-appropriate repertoire and use of instruments.

By Year 6 children will be able to: sing from notation, write standard western notation and read scores while listening. They will build an understanding of the terminology used in music and will be able to convert their knowledge into the practice of playing instruments.

Programme content includes and supersedes the National Curriculum. The programme consists of weekly creative and interactive 45-minute sessions.

The programme will give you:

  • A ready-to-use ToolBox of lesson plans, resources and activities.
  • An age-appropriate song repertoire
  • Ideas for creating worksheets and resources for interactive whiteboards
  • Creative suggestions for sharing and performance
