Training for Musicians
This is an opportunity for musicians who have a real interest in training how to be excellent teachers. The course works with Kodály and Eurythmics principles and a teaching method based on play. It will equip you to be a well-prepared music teacher who puts enjoyment at the heart of every lesson.
It’s a ONE-YEAR PLACEMENT (Saturdays and up to 10 weekdays through the year) with an offer of an ongoing teaching position on the pay scale on successful completion of the DaCapo Initial Certificate.

Training for Class Teachers
DaCapo Online is an intuitive resource for primary class teachers and most will find that they can just ‘click and go’.
But we do offer training sessions for those who’d like support or to learn more about the background to the programme.

DACAPO IN A NUTSHELL

COMPLETE INSTRUMENTALIST TRAINING

COMPLETE MUSICIAN TRAINING KS1
Designed for musicians who teach or want to teach F&KS1 in the classroom.
Suitable for musicians of degree standard who read music fluently or sing.
COMPLETE MUSICIAN TRAINING KS2
Designed for musicians who teach or want to teach KS2 in the classroom.
Suitable for musicians of degree standard who read music fluently or sing.
TODDLER MUSIC
A three-hour training for musicians interested in running sessions with very small children. This course will give you all of the skills and resources you need to get started teaching toddler music classes right away.
DACAPO AFFILIATES
DaCapo Affiliate teachers are a network of like-minded music teachers working across the UK and internationally with DaCapo’s thorough and rigorous curriculum and outstanding repertoire.
At the end of this comprehensive four-day training course you will become a DaCapo affiliate.
This entitles you to teach under the DaCapo name and gives you access to the full range of DaCapo ToolBox teaching resources (covering all levels – toddler to top secondary level).
