Classroom Music
DaCapo has a fun and engaging classroom music programme tailored to meet the needs of young children. Based on over 20 years’ experience, our comprehensive music curriculum is a harmonious blend of interactive lessons, fun activities, and creative exercises. It focuses on slow progression and builds key music skills linked to the national curriculum. The age-appropriate lessons are ambitious and inclusive and include specially commissioned songs of top quality.
Take Note
The Take Note project, in partnership with Fantasia Orchestra, has now completed its pilot and is available for booking. The participatory workshop and concerts are designed as a series; schools can choose from a menu of strings, brass, woodwind or percussion. They are led by skilled musicians from Fantasia and a DaCapo teacher/leader. Each lasts 45 minutes and is suitable for a whole KS1 or KS2 school assembly.
“Having our children experience live music played by such highly skilled musicians feeds into the personal development of the children. They were spellbound!”
DaCapo Online
We teach in a number of primary schools but have limited availability each year for in-person delivery.
However, we are delighted to report that the DaCapo programme is now available as an online resource. Schools are invited to a free trial. We encourage you to try.
It’s intuitive, ‘click and go’ and develops sophisticated music-making skills for children and teachers alike. It’s also lots of fun!
