Alice Purton
Senior Teacher. Cello
Alice was a member of Bromley Youth Music Trust and the National Youth Orchestra. She gained a BMus with first class honours from the joint Manchester University and Royal Northern College of Music course, and a Master of Performance from the Royal College of Music where she studied under Melissa Phelps, Raphael Wallfisch and Karine Georgian. She has a busy performing career as a member of various ensembles, including Distractfold Ensemble who give concerts all over Europe, Trio Atem, and the Chagall Piano Quartet who have performed at St Martin in-the-Fields and the Wigmore Hall. At the DaCapo Saturday Centre Alice teaches one-to-one lessons and ensembles. She also teaches piano at Wren Academy.
