Fabio Fernandes

Fábio started learning the guitar aged 11 with Francisco Gomes. He gained a BMus (Hons) from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2018, where he is currently on a Masters in Classical Guitar Performance under the guidance of Robert Brightmore and David Miller. Fábio's studies are kindly supported by Help Musicians UK and Adele Kramar-Chappell Trust. Fábio obtained several prizes in national and international competitions in Portugal and has performed many solo and ensemble concerts in Portugal and England and several in Czech Republic and Poland. Besides the guitar, Fábio also plays the lute and the theorbo. At the DaCapo Saturday Centre, Fabio teaches one-to-one lessons and ensembles. He also teaches guitar for DaCapo at Wren Academy.
