Giuseppa Colella

Giuseppa landed in London in 1984 with an Italian Accounting Degree. She soon managed to get this converted and topped it up with an English Accounting qualification.

She gained her first job within the finance department of the London Research Centre, which was set up following the closure of the Great London Council, and worked there for 7 years. She then moved to work in schools where she gained a qualification in School Business Management.

Giuseppa has worked in schools for the last 23 years and is still working within the London Borough of Hackney and enjoys deploying her skills to benefit the local children who most need it.

She develops strategies and plans for effective utilisation of the school’s resources and manages all financial and administrative school resources, ensuring the school’s assets and systems are deployed in support of the school’s objectives.

Music plays a big part in the schools she serves in, giving the children a variety of possibilities, especially where these are missing at home.

Giuseppa has served in various charities as a trustee including Age Concern and Refugees into Jobs and is pleased to have joined he board of DaCapo.
