Joseph Thwaites
Teacher. Saxophone
Joe is a professional woodwind player specialising in saxophone. Originally from Nottingham, he moved to London in 2016 to study classical saxophone at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Martin Robertson and Christian Forshaw, with additional mentorship from John Harle, Trish Clowes, Mick Foster and Nick Moss.
He is a frequent collaborator with the SuedeJazz Collective, a London/Brazil-based fusion collective which works with singers, rappers and up & coming jazz artists.
Joseph is a keen arranger and composer for small ensembles, having produced work in many different styles. His works have been performed in at the Union Chapel, Ely Cathedral and Milton Court Concert Hall. He has also performed in various musical theatre productions in London such as, The Producers, A Little Night Music and Crazy For You.
