Lorena Cantó

Teacher. Viola

Lorena Cantó is a classical violin and viola teacher based in London. Through her years of musical study, both at the Yehudi Menuhin School (UK) and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, she has had the opportunity to play in venues such as the Berlin Konzerthaus and the Wigmore Hall, as well as appear on BBC 3 “in tune” and Classic FM. Since 2017, Lorena is member of Duo Fabulae and the Jubilee String Quartet, with whom she has recorded a Haydn CD for the Rubicon Classics label and won the 1st prize at the 2019 Gianni Bergamo Classic Music Award in Lugano (Switzerland). Lorena has taught both instrumental and chamber music coachings at the Purcell School Chamber Music Academy and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire among other institutions.
