Lucian McCauley
Teacher. Piano
Lucian has been playing the piano and flute since childhood. During his teens, Lucian became keenly interested in Jazz after a routine forage through his Father’s CD collection yielded particularly swinging results. The rest, as they say, is history. He holds a BMus from King’s College London. During his Bmus studies, Lucian studied classical flute and jazz piano at the Royal Academy of Music, and classical flute at the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne, Australia. Lucian is continuing his studies at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, with an Artist Masters in Jazz Piano.
Lucian enjoys playing in a variety of contexts around London, from big bands, to more intimate duos and quartets, and the occasional solo gig. Also an arranger and composer, Lucian is currently working on a collaboration with a visual artist.
