Lucy Gwynne Evans

Lucy has been teaching with the DaCapo approach since 2005. She found DaCapo when looking for an organisation to teach her own children music and was so impressed that she decided to train so that her pupils could benefit too.

Lucy has performed throughout her life; instrumentally, singing, acting, dancing and with a professional theatre company specialising in comic parody. All of her experiences feed into her teaching. She has a strong interest in Neurodiversity and strives to adapt her teaching to suit an individual’s needs and strengths. She continues to research creative teaching ideas from piano pedagogues across the world and this complements the excellent, continued, professional development training received at DaCapo.

Lucy believes in the DaCapo approach of breaking difficult things down into manageable, accessible and imaginative chunks so that everyone can enjoy "the magic that is music.”
