

Rocio Bolanos
Senior Teacher. Clarinet
Rocio completed her Postgraduate studies at the Royal Northern College of Music with Distinction followed by a Junior Fellowship and the International Artist Diploma. She also studied for a year a Specialised Masters in contemporary music performance at the Hochschule der Künste Bern with Ernesto Molinari. She is a founding member of Distractfold Ensemble, which has been a visiting ensemble in residencies at Harvard University, Stanford University and Columbia University as well as being ensemble in association at Brunel University.
Rocio has worked as a freelance with the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Liverpool Philharmonic and Hallé Orchestra in the UK and Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid.
At DaCapo, Rocio teaches 1:1 sessions on recorder, flute, clarinet and saxophone at Wren Academy Finchley and Enfield, and at our Saturday schools as well as leading chamber music sessions. She also teaches classroom musicianship at Holy Trinity and Christchurch in Chelsea.
